2/3/20 & 2/4/20 Spending time on the beach and in town. went on a big walk. Power out at campground. (Came back on early morning next day). Ate at very tasty Indian restaurant in town. Mostly one encounters a fish & chips shop in a small town. Time to relax!

Wellington to Whanganui
1/31/20 White knuckle drive through alternating crosswinds in our top heavy narrow-wheelbase campervan! Yikes! Planes in the area were grounded dues to winds. Stopped at amazing playground in Levin. Then arrived in Whanganui Top 10 campground. Awesome warm Swimming pool and facilities along the river.

Ferry crossing from South to North Island
1/29/29 Up early to catch 3 hour ferry crossing to North Island. Smooth sailing. Headed into Wellington and spent afternoon at Te Papa museum. Nelson to Picton
1/28/20 Spent the morning in Nelson with a repeat hike up Grampian Hill. Said our goodbyes to Tamm & David and set off along the winding coast to Picton. Lots of great ocean views. 1/27/20 Started the morning with a short jog around the neighborhood. Had lovely breakfast with Tamm & David. Then went up the street a short way and started hike up Grampian Hill to the lookouts. 1/26/20 Before leaving Hanmer had to peddle go-cart and jump on air pillow! Going to meet Tamm & David at their home in Nelson. They are gracious, entertaining hosts! Drove by multiple vineyards on route.
