Hi today we went to a thingabob place. Then we drove to the campground and met up with Immy again. And we got popsicles. We went swimming. And it was spectacular. P.S There were dolphins that people were swimming with. We went looking for yellow-eyed pingwin but we didn’t see any.
More Details: Stopped at Gypsy Caravan automation exhibit a couple miles from campground. Vicki and Immy joined in and camped at next stop with us. Fantastic exhibit with zillions of automatons built by owner – fun and interactive exhibit! Carried along coast at stopped at Florence hill lookout, & McLean Falls hike. In the town near Curio, we toured through art show at local hall and private museum of various artifacts. Final destination Tumu Toka – Curioscape campground on Curio Bay. Home of the famous little blue penguin. Lets just say there was a major surplus of money and renovation to turn this basic campground into one with actual cooking and washing facilities. Immy and Jade went for a freezing plunge in ocean and other snorkel swimmers saw dolphins! Went to look for penguins at dusk in pouring rain as they do come ashore late evening – no luck spotting one.
