Hi. today we went to a chocolate factory. After that we went store to store. Then finally we went back to the campground and went to the toy library. Then we had a movie night. The end.
More Details: The famous Cadbury Chocolate Factory in Dunedin was closed in March 2018 and is to be replaced with a hospital. So we rallied and found another chocolate maker – Ocho. Ocho chocolate factory is a smaller boutique chocolatier. Unfortunately we were there on the day when most machines were not running so we missed seeing the workers create chocolates, but we did have a tasting session! Then step outside and right next door was “Bay Rd” peanut butter company with different roast flavors. Stopped at historic train station gave up trying to find a fabric store that no longer existed. Return to camp and took a late afternoon hike to find the toy library/exchange in the woods. The toy library was at the side of a walking trail. There are different trails you can follow from our campsite. We went back on trails after supper when it was dark, to see the glow worms. The are gnat larvae that are bioluminescent and glow in the dark. It looks like tiny stars twinkling. By the way, I should mention that the stars at night are so clear and easy to see most every night! Very little light pollution! The Southern Cross, Milky Way and Orion are very easy to spot.
