Ferry crossing from South to North Island

Up early to catch 3 hour ferry crossing to North Island. Smooth sailing. Headed into Wellington and spent afternoon at Te Papa museum. I’m not usually a big museum fan but this place is incredible! Something for everyone. Interactive portions really drew Jade in. Exhibits on animals, earthquake, volcano, Maori tattoos, Maori villages & history, etc. For an estimated population of 500,000, the traffic is a fright. The city lived up to its reputation as extremely windy! Stayed at campsite just out of town in area of Lower Hutt.
